Spectrum SVRD001 by seiko
Il y a quelques jours à peine, la société japonaise SEIKO a annoncé qu'elle comptait vendre à partir du 27 janvier prochain une nouvelle montre exploitant sa technologie e-paper.
Limitée à 500 exemplaires dans le monde, dont 200 au Japon, cette montre nommée SPECTRUM SVRD001 pèse 134 grammes et mesure 3,7 cm (de largeur). Vendue environ 1800 euros (plus de 250 000 yens), elle verra donc le jour le 27 janvier prochain et aura bien entendu un numéro de série (de 1 à 500 fort logiquement). Il sera possible de changer son mode d'affichage (12 ou 24h) et SEIKO précise qu'elle indique aussi le jour et le mois en cours. Ne résistant pas à l'eau, vous aurez par contre un an de garantie minimum assuré en cas de pépin.

Time telling Instructions (you need these for binary watches)
Telling the time uses the colored LED's to represent hours & minutes. By looking at the 4 rows of lights, the Green & Red LED's at the top indicate the hour simply by counting them. 3 red = 3 o'clock.
The Bottom rows of green & yellow LED's indicate the minutes. 2 Green + 7 yellow = 27 minutes past. It's the same for the date mode to indicate month & date. The day is shown on the very top row of holes where the markings M, T, W show the day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc).

Designed by postmodern architect Frank Gehry and developed by Fossil this Gehry Writes Time Digital watch has an innovative time read out display in Frank Gehry's own script. If the time is 11:30, the display reads in script, "half past 11" and if the time is 12:54, it reads as "6 til 1". The display also automatically switches back and forth showing a negative screen during daylight hours and a positive screen at nighttime. Also contains a calendar function. Brushed titanium cases with a silver colored titanium plate around the perimeter of the display. Black genuine leather strap. 11-year warranty.
